Barcelona, 14/02/2018- El proyecto Summits of My Life de Kilian Jornet llega a su fin con la publicación del documental “Path to Everest”. Este miércoles se ha presentado el trailer oficial, así como las fechas de las premières que se realizarán en Bilbao, Pamplona, Madrid y Barcelona a inicios de marzo.
Kilian Jornet escribió cuando era niño una lista de todas las carreras que le gustaría ganar y todas las montañas que soñaba escalar. En mayo de 2017 tachó la última cumbre de la lista en completar un histórico doble ascenso al Everest solo, sin oxígeno y de una sola tirada. Fue el colofón del proyecto Summits of My Life, que durante cinco años le ha llevado a recorrer algunos de los picos más emblemáticos del planeta acompañado por un pequeño grupo de alpinistas.
“Path to Everest”, dirigido por Sébastien Montaz-Rosset y Josep Serra, repasa el camino que ha llevado a Kilian Jornet hasta la cima más alta del mundo descubriendo también su cara más íntima con sus miedos, sus contradicciones y sus ilusiones para seguir buscando nuevos retos que le permitan seguir soñando, siempre rodeado de montañas y de aquellos que lo inspiran.

Kilian Jornet es el protagonista de “Path to Everest” que también cuenta con los testimonios de destacados alpinistas como Reinhold Messner, Jordi Canals, Jordi Tosas o Peter Habeler, además de personajes clave del entorno de Jornet como Emelie Forsberg, Bruno Brunod o el propio Sébastien Montaz-Rosset. El documental también hace un repaso por la historia de las expediciones que desde principios del siglo XX intentaron conquistar el Everest, y como después de hacer cumbre en el techo del mundo muchos alpinistas se han atrevido a ir desafiando las leyes de la naturaleza para hacer expediciones cada vez más puristas y técnicas.

“Path to Everest” will be premiered in Bilbao (Spain) on the first of March with an special event presented by Kilian Jornet himself. After that, the film will be distributed in cinemas by Alfa Pictures

Barcelona, 14/02/2018- Kilian Jornet’s Summits of My Life project has reached completion with the documentary “Path to Everest”. The trailer was released on Wednesday and dates have been set for the premières in Spain.
When he was a child Kilian Jornet made a list of all the races he’d like to win and all the mountains he dreamt of climbing. In May 2017 he ticked off the last on the list with the historic double, solo ascent of Everest, without oxygen and in a single climb. It marked the climax of the Summits of My Life project which took him to some of the world’s most famous peaks over five years, accompanied by a small group of climbers.
“Path to Everest”, directed by Sébastien Montaz-Rosset and Josep Serra, follows the path that led Kilian Jornet to the highest peak in the world in an intimate portrait revealing his fears, contradictions and his desire to keep seeking new challenges so that he can continue to dream, surrounded by the mountains and people who are his inspiration.

Kilian Jornet is the key player in “Path to Everest” which also includes contributions from outstanding mountaineers such as Reinhold Messner, Jordi Canals, Jordi Tosas and Peter Habeler, as well as people close to Jornet such as Emelie Forsberg, Bruno Brunod and Sébastien Montaz-Rosset. The documentary also reviews the history of Everest expeditions since the early 20th century and describes how many climbers have defied the laws of nature in a bid to undertake more technical expeditions.
