Un’esclusiva di corsainmontagna.it. Un racconto fatto anche e soprattutto di immagini, con al centro il tracciato dei prossimi Campionati Mondiali di corsa in montagna. Da Temù al Passo del Tonale, con Ponte di Legno a rappresentare tanto punto di snodo del percorso più lungo, quello riservato ai seniores uomini, quanto zona di partenza per seniores donne e juniores uomini. Più immagini che parole, in una mattina in cui nel ruolo di attori ecco alcuni dei protagonisti più attesi del prossimo appuntamento iridato. Insieme ai padroni di casa Marco e Francesco Agostini (Comitato Organizzatore), ecco gli juniores Michael Monella e Giampaolo Crotti e poi ancora il neo campione italiano Bernard Dematteis e Marco De Gasperi.

Passo dopo passo, dalla partenza al traguardo. Per anticipare insieme a voi l’appuntamento più atteso della stagione, quello che in Alta Valle Camonica il prossimo 2 settembre attende tutti i migliori specialisti della corsa in montagna mondiale.

Si parte dall’altimetria, quella ormai nota ai più. Ma la parte più interessante è quella che segue, con le oltre cento immagini che corsainmontagna.it regala allora, in anteprima, a tutti gli appassionati della specialità.

START OF THE SENIOR MEN RACE IN TEMU’ ALTITUDE: 1128mt.

200mt. of flat then you turn right and begin uphill on asphalted road

After 80mt. of uphill you turn left into a secondary road, quite steep, for 100mt.

Back to the main road

You cross the national road going into church direction

On your right Temù’s church, here begins a very steep part

Almost one kilometer done

First uphill almost over, turn on right into a path with little steps

About 1,15 km and steep uphill ends, here begins a nice and quite flat part with overview of Temù

Before Villa Dalegno village you enter into a wood with uphill

Villa Dalegno 2,7km altitude: 1347mt.

You go up into Villa Dalegno village

Here ends Villa Dalegno village and you will follow road to Ponte di Legno

Flat part before first refreshment point

Refreshment point 3,3km

Last part before first downhill

Here begins downhill to Ponte di Legno you are at 4,02km and altitude of 1460 meters

First part of downhill on grass

Then you enter a pine woods, little technical part

Again on the grass 5,0km

Downhill is ending, you arrive in Ponte di Legno

You reach main road, just before junior men and senior women start km 5,25

Start of junior men and senior women race: Roma Street Altitude 1266 mt.

200meters flat to “Square 20 september”

Before Ponte di Legno’s “Pietro e Paolo” Church you turn on your right

First passage on wood bridge (over River Frigidolfo) then turn left

Second passage on bridge on your right (just before river Frigidolfo and Narcanello joins to form important Oglio river)

After a passage on Ponte di Legno’s main asphalted road you turn on your right into a dirty road near river Narcanello

Easy flat part near the river

Turn on your right, on narrow bridge before reaching Market’s square

After crossing Market’s Square you turn on your right into underpass of main road km6,56

After crossing Mountain bike park you pass gondola station (on your right) Altitude: 1270mt.

At 7,0km, altitude 1290 mt.

After a steep part, begins a nice path into the forest

Before the passage through ski jump turn on your right 50mt. steep

Here begins little downhill to Val Sozzine

Last part of downhill before turn on your left

Over little bridges km 8,8

Last crossing of bridge over Narcanello river

Easy uphill

Here begins again steep uphill on ski slope Km 9,2 Altitude: 1360mt.

Following ski slope to the steepest part of the course

Hairpin right bend

Steepest part of the race 300meters at 50%!!! 10,3 km

At the end of the steepest part you leave ski slope and turn right into woods Km10,65

After 200 meters flat you turn on your left

Flat part reaching gondola intermediate station, start of Junior Women race

Start of Junior women Race near gondola station Km11,1 Altitude 1659mt.

After 100mt. turn on your left into a forest path (*Junior women will do after start an additional loop of 800meters)

After overpass you turn on your left reaching path to last part of uphill

On your right last uphill part on grass path
